The sponsor helps connect the work to a larger business need or organizational priority. When decisions stall, resources are needed, or the initiative needs visible leadership support, the sponsor can help move the work forward.

The sponsor typically does not design the learning solution. Their role is to help create the organizational conditions that allow the initiative to succeed.
